Energistics Elects Segun Oyebanji To Its Board of Directors

HOUSTON, TX February 27, 2013 – Energistics, the upstream oil and gas standards consortium, announced today that Segun Oyebanji, General Manager of Technical Computing for Chevron Company and CIO of Energy Technology Company (a Chevron Subsidiary) has been elected to its Board of Directors. Oyebanji replaces Jim Green, CIO Downstream and Chemicals for Chevron, who steps down after four years of service.
On his election as a Board Member of Energistics, Oyebanji said, “My tenure at Chevron has well prepared me for this appointment. Although I know the Board will miss the contributions of Jim Green, I look forward to providing my own perspective.”
Jerry Hubbard, President & CEO of Energistics, said, “We are happy to welcome Segun to our Board. His knowledge of end-to-end standards and processes will fill a niche within the board and we are certain that he will add value to our standards community.”
“Jim will certainly be missed as the Board Champion for PRODML, where he supported the re-energizing of the Special Interest Group and the development of a Daily Production Report and standards associated with production data,” added Hubbard.

Mr. Oyebanji provides leadership for Chevron’s Information Technology investments in Exploration, Reservoir Management and Drilling & Completions, as well as Operations; touching on global deployment of data and information management standards and processes.
He is accountable for the life cycle of petro-technical and engineering applications, data and information management systems, and high performance computing infrastructure for Chevron Operating Companies and ETC.
